My name is Chithra. I am currently a Design Manager at Ford Motor Company, where I merge my 12+ years of invaluable UX design expertise with 7 years of business process experience to create innovative and user-centric solutions that resonate with our diverse audience.

My passion lies in cultivating user empathy among designers, a belief rooted in my commitment to crafting products that not only meet user needs but also make a meaningful impact on their lives.

Experience

I have spent the last 12+ years in desigining experiences for B2B, B2C, web, app and HMI digital systems. As the automotive industry is rapidly evolving and increasingly digitized, I partner with the Product Managment team to develop and own the product strategy, with user research team to deeply understand user needs, with software (mobile and HMI) and hardware teams to identify solutions to user problems.

While I wear multiple hats, I am extremely passionate about supporting talented designers by guiding, providing growth opportunities and setting them up for success.

Life outside work

Outside the world of UX design, I find fulfillment in coaching kids in Science Olympiad, a pursuit that allows me to share my enthusiasm for knowledge and discovery with younger generations. I cherish every opportunity to travel with my family, creating lasting memories and broadening our perspectives together.
